Deep Tissue Massage

Techniques used to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of the muscles, tendons and fascia.  It is called deep tissue, because it also focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.  (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Hot Stone Massage

Stone therapy is a type of thermo using basalt rocks.  Stone therapy goes beyond the physical experience of typical massage and enters deeper dimensions of relaxation, health and well being.  Stone therapy is an exclusive vascular gymnastics of the circulatory system. It improves the work of the lymphatic and immune systems, helps normalize body functions, and assists your body in self-healing.  It also effects the sensory system which stimulates production of neur-chemicals that brings sense of well-being.  The ultimate goal of Stone Therapy is relaxation that will bring balance and alleviate chronic and acute problems.  (75 minutes)

Medical Massage

Medical massage uses kinesiology, the study of movement, stretching and a blend of proven techniques to specifically address muscular tension.  Each session is customized to allow a slow deep pressure, working within each client's comfort level.  (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Myofascial Massage

A form of bodywork that is manipulative in nature and seeks to rebalance the body by releasing tension in the fascia.  Long, stretching strokes are utilized to release muscular tension.  (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Neuromuscular/Trigger Point Massage

The application of pressure to certain hyper-irritable spots within the muscle to break cycles of spasm and pain.  Trigger points refer pain to other parts of the body in characteristic patterns.  (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Orthopedic Massage

Capable of integrating a variety of massage's most effective techniques in the treatment of soft tissue dysfunction, pain and injuries.  Four component parts characterize the system of orthopedic massage:  orthopedic assessment, matching the physiology of the tissue injury with the physiology effects of treatment, treatment adaptability, and understanding the rehabilitation protocol. (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Prenatal Massage

Beneficial throughout the nine months of a low risk pregnancy and may include specific light and deep pressure massage, medical, myofascial techniques, circulatory work, acupressure, reflexology, and other techniques.  Massage is given on a special table or the use of body pillows to accommodate the baby with added support to the mother.  If you are not having a low-risk pregnancy, discuss your condition with your physician or midwife prior to scheduling your massage.  (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Seated Massage (on-site)

Seated Massage, also known as Corporate On-Site Massage, is a quick, easy and accessible way for companies to provide massages to their staff or customers.  A qualified therapist would provide a 10 to 20 minute back, neck, shoulder, arm, hand, and head massage right in your office.  It requires no undressing, no oils, and very little space.  This massage is great as a regular employee benefit, as a gift for a special reward for a department's job well done, or in a trade show/health fare setting to attract traffic.  The benefits of this quick and affordable service are being recognized, as research results show that after a 15 minute session, individuals are more productive, relaxed and less tense.  Given the number of stress-related medical problems on the job, seated massage may be one way for employers to promote health, wellness and reduce stress.  As well as improving morale, increasing productivity, enhanced concentration, reducing stress and even more importantly, it tells the employees your company cares.  On-site seated chair massage is generally done in the workplace, however it is expanding into more diverse areas and is being seen anywhere from homes to public events.

Sports Massage 

Utilization of particular massage techniques on athletes to enhance their performance.  The massage may be done immediately before or after an event, or during the training between athletic events.  Sports massage helps to prepare the muscles for action and to help the body recover as quickly as possible. Swedish/Relaxation Massage

A system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints to increase range of motion of joints, and reduce tension and stress. (30, 60 or 90 minutes)

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)

MLD is a gentle manual treatment technique which improves the activity of the lymph vessels by mild mechanical stretches on the wall of lymph collectors. MLD re-routes the lymph flow around the blocked areas into more centrally located lymph vessels that eventually drain into the venous system.

Compression Therapy

Compression therapy increases the tissue pressure and is applied between treatments in order to prevent reaccumulation of lymph fluid. In Phase I of the treatment, compression therapy is applied using short-stretch bandages, in Phase II by custom made garments which the patient has to wear every day.

Aroma Therapy

Choose from over 15 types of essential oils which will be specially blended to your preference, and used in your massage.  A system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints to increase range of motion, and reduced tension and stress. Raindrop Therapy
